Position Overview
The Deburr Operator is responsible for removing burrs, applying surface finishes, and assisting with component assembly to ensure parts meet blueprint and quality specifications. This Deburr Operator role plays a critical part in preparing parts for final assembly or shipment in a manufacturing environment.
The ideal Deburr Operator is detail-oriented, experienced with metal finishing processes, and capable of maintaining quality and production standards.
Required Experience & Skills
• Minimum 1 year of deburring experience on fabricated or machined parts • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions • Knowledge of deburring techniques and surface finishing processes • Experience using calipers and precision measuring tools • Familiarity with aircraft component assembly and hardware installation • Strong attention to detail and quality control • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Deburr fabricated, machined, and manufactured parts made from various alloys • Apply surface finishes according to blueprint specifications and finish callouts • Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions • Use calipers and measuring equipment to verify part dimensions • Perform basic sheet metal assembly tasks • Install rivets and aircraft hardware per specifications • Use basic shop tools safely and effectively • Maintain quality, productivity, and safety standards • Collaborate with team members and follow supervisory direction
