Cost Accountant
Pay:
$62K+ Annually

Position Overview

We are seeking a Cost Accountant to join our team in Catoosa, OK. This role is responsible for planning, analyzing, and reporting cost-related data to support effective financial decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment and possess excellent analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities

·         Cost Analysis & Reporting:

o    Plan, study, and collect data to determine costs of business activities, including:

§  Raw material purchases

§  Inventory management

§  Labor costs

o    Analyze and record cost data and results, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards.

o    Assess the impact of changes in:

§  Product design

§  Raw materials

§  Manufacturing methods

§  Services provided

·         Financial Planning & Budgeting:

o    Analyze actual manufacturing costs and compare them to standard production costs.

o    Compile cost information to assist in operating budget preparation.

o    Estimate costs of new and proposed products or services.

o    Recommend cost efficiencies in new product layouts.

o    Develop and implement cost accounting systems to optimize financial performance.

·         Auditing & Compliance:

o    Conduct cost audits and prepare detailed reports.

o    Appraise and evaluate real property or equipment for:

§  Sale

§  Acquisition

§  Tax purposes

Qualifications & Skills

·         Education:

o    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance (Required)

o    Must hold a current CPA license

·         Experience:

o    Minimum of 3 years of experience in Cost Accounting

o    Experience with Percentage of Completion (POC) accounting methods

o    Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess cost-related data effectively

§  Work cooperatively with colleagues and stakeholders

Position Requirements

·         Regular and punctual attendance with the ability to work on-site

·         Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools
