Job Position: Continuous Improvement Manager
Pay: $108k+ annually
Shift: Day Shift
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Location: Catoosa, OK

Purpose

The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, leading to significant value generation and cost efficiencies.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and communicate a vision and strategy for implementing a comprehensive Lean manufacturing system.
  • Set expectations to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement efforts to enhance costs, quality, and service for achieving business results.
  • Identify and facilitate process improvement projects, training sessions, and workshops to instill cultural change.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for:
    • Manufacturing and assembly issues
    • Material flow
    • Project plans
    • Production capacity
    • Facility design
    • Process documentation
  • Perform advanced data collection and analysis for process mapping, budgets, and feasibility studies.
  • Develop systematic training programs and implement methodologies, including but not limited to:
    • Six Sigma
    • 5S
    • Lean Manufacturing
    • Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE)
  • Track downtime results, improve data integrity, and collaborate with management to create improvement plans.
  • Provide leadership and tactical planning for technical training initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business leadership to prioritize and execute cost-saving and growth-supporting process improvements.
  • Use data-driven tools to:
    • Detect operational issues
    • Assess return-on-investment (ROI) for projects
  • Enhance operating output by identifying and eliminating defects and errors in products and processes.
  • Apply effective project management skills to prioritize and manage process improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze processes to implement effective improvements.
  • Ensure alignment with the company’s Quality Plan.
  • Build and motivate teams to participate in initiatives focused on process optimization, waste reduction, and defect elimination.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of general management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in conceptualizing and implementing manufacturing processes, systems, and structures.
  • Proficient in Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing tools, concepts, and methodologies.
  • Proven experience in developing and deploying Continuous Improvement goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Projects and Office Suite.
