Position Overview

The CNC Mill Operator / Machinist is responsible for operating and maintaining CNC 3-axis vertical milling machines in a precision-driven manufacturing environment. This CNC Mill Operator / Machinist role involves setting up machines, working with Fanuc controls, and ensuring all parts meet strict quality specifications. The ideal CNC Mill Operator / Machinist has strong machining experience, understands GD&T, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of CNC milling experience
• Proficiency with Fanuc controls and 3-axis vertical mills
• Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
• Ability to set up machines, including tool heights and work offsets
• Experience using edge finders and precision measuring tools
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
• Ability to lift 40 lbs or more as needed

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain CNC 3-axis vertical milling machines
• Execute machining tasks using Fanuc controls
• Set and verify tool heights and work offsets
• Use edge finders and measuring tools for accurate setup
• Interpret and apply GD&T standards during machining
• Perform quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
