CNC Machinist – Lathe and Mill

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist – Lathe and Mill to join a climate-controlled facility in Tulsa. This role involves setting up and operating CNC machinery, ensuring precision machining, and troubleshooting operational or programming issues. Successful candidates must have a strong background in using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools to verify specifications and maintain production quality.

Key Responsibilities

·         Operate a 5-axis Mazak Integrex with turning capability.

·         Run CNC programs using EIA (G+M code, NOT Mazatrol).

·         Manage high-level machining tasks, requiring precision across multiple axes.

·         Adjust offsets in multiple directions to ensure accurate machining.

·         Set up and operate two machines simultaneously when required.

·         Secure parts, fixtures, and tools onto machines.

·         Read and interpret blueprints, symbols, and tolerances to meet part specifications.

·         Use micrometers, calipers, and precision gauges to ensure accuracy.

·         Perform machine setup, including:

o    Loading fixtures

o    Setting up and loading tools

o    Selecting and loading programs

o    Setting work coordinates

o    Adjusting offsets and verifying first-part accuracy

·         Identify and select correct materials for production.

·         Meet assigned run times and maintain production efficiency.

Job Requirements

·         Must own or be willing to purchase the minimum required set of tools and a locking toolbox.

·         Minimum of one year of experience operating CNC Lathe, Vertical Mill, and Manual Lathe.

·         Proven and consistent work history in CNC machining.

·         Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in CNC operations.

Physical Requirements

·         Must be able to stand, bend, squat, and climb for 95 percent of the shift while operating machinery.

·         Ability to lift and move parts weighing up to 50 pounds.

·         Use of lifting devices when possible, though some parts may require manual handling due to confined workspaces.
