Position Overview

The CNC Machinist is responsible for operating and supporting 5-axis CNC machining centers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This CNC Machinist role focuses on producing complex precision components while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.

The ideal CNC Machinist has strong machining fundamentals, experience with multi-axis equipment, and the ability to read blueprints and technical documentation to ensure accurate part production.

Required Experience & Skills

• Experience operating 5-axis CNC machines (setup and/or operation)
• Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, feeds, and speeds
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and CAD/CAM data
• Experience performing tool changes, offsets, and minor program edits
• Knowledge of precision measuring tools and inspection practices
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
• Reliable, team-oriented, and self-motivated

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot 5-axis CNC machining centers
• Work with machines including Haas, Matsuura, Toyoda, and Grob
• Inspect finished parts to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality compliance
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused workspace
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve machining processes
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards

Preferred Experience

• GD&T knowledge preferred
• Experience in aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing environments is a plus
