Job Description for the CNC Machinist – Vertical Mill Machinist:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist – Vertical Mill Machinist to work in a climate-controlled facility producing fusion and fintube machines. This role involves setting up and operating 3-axis HAAS Vertical Mills, placing and securing parts, fixtures, and tools onto machines, and using micrometers, calipers, and other gauges to ensure precision and quality. The CNC Machinist – Vertical Mill Machinist will read and interpret blueprints, troubleshoot programming or operation problems, and consistently deliver high-quality work.

Job Notes:
This position involves working with a 3-axis HAAS Vertical Mill that requires advanced setup skills.

Requirements for the CNC Machinist – Vertical Mill Machinist:

• Must own or be willing to purchase the minimum required tools and a locking toolbox.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with CNC Lathe, Vertical Mill, and Manual Lathe.
• Consistent proven work history in machining.
• Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and precision tools.
• Ability to perform setups, including:
  • Loading fixtures
  • Setting up and loading tools
  • Selecting and loading programs
  • Setting work coordinates and sizing first parts with offsets
• Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, symbols, and tolerances.
• Knowledge of material selection and ability to meet assigned run times.

Physical Requirements:

• Standing, bending, squatting, and climbing required for 95% of the work shift.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs; lifting devices used when possible.
• Work may require pulling, pushing, and holding parts in place in confined areas.
