CNC Machinist

Pay: $19.50-25/hr. (depends on experience.)

Hours: Monday- Friday 7AM-3:45PM

Job Description:

With guidance readily available, generate CNC programs both with and without programming software, using the correct speeds, feeds, and depths of cut appropriate for the material being machined. Set-up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts to drawing specifications. Monitor the speeds and feeds of CNC machines during the machining process.  Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics, machine shop theories, and instruments, including but not limited to, micrometers and vernier calipers. Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto the machines. Select appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in the machining processes. Participate in Research & Development activities as required. Perform all tasks as required of a Safety Sensitive position. Demonstrated knowledge of CNC Programming using multiple platforms including Fanuc and Mazatrol. Ability to operate all shop equipment. Ability to effectively coach and train employees. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects daily in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to speak, write and read English. Able to work independently or as part of a team on a broad variety of projects. Willingness to work additional hours in order to meet tight deadlines.

Qualification Requirements:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. Three (3) years of experience in the operation, setup, and programming of CNC mills and lathes minimum.
