CNC Machinist

Pay: $18-22/hr.

Hours: Monday-Friday 7AM-4PM

Job Description:

Perform operations on the CNC Horizontal Machining Center with supervised operational guidance until fully trained in this Level I position. (This position is considered entry level with a larger scale of supervision required.).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Operates automated Horizontal Machines Must have skill set to operate Horizontal machines with supervision Receive daily training / mentoring from level 2 and 3 operators or supervisor Check parts to ensure they meet blueprint specifications using proper gauges. Perform daily point checks on machine and report concerns to shop floor supervisor. (Note leaks, noises, functionality) Deburr as required for work in process. Will follow all safety policies and procedures Meets departmental/company goals and objectives in a timely manner (Such as efficiencies, scrap control, time motion and setup time reductions.) Arrives to work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled. Must have skill set to learn basic drawings, use of scales, calipers, and micrometers to determine part being machined is at the proper configuration. Must have basic math skills. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. Must have problem-solving skills, CNC machinists will need to know why machines are not at peak performance, how to increase output and how to fix errors.
