Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Laser Operator to join a Tulsa-based fabrication team. The CNC Laser Operator will be responsible for programming and operating a 6KW laser plate cutter equipped with a shuttle table, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and quality in every project. This role is ideal for candidates who have strong technical knowledge, a commitment to safety, and an eye for precision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

·         Operate and program a 6KW laser plate cutter with shuttle table to cut steel, aluminum, and other metals.

·         Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders.

·         Load and align materials properly on the shuttle table, monitoring cutting operations.

·         Optimize cutting paths and nesting layouts using CAD/CAM software (BySoft, SigmaNEST, or similar).

·         Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.

·         Inspect finished parts using precision tools such as calipers and micrometers.

·         Track production data and maintain accurate records.

·         Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all OSHA and company safety protocols.

Qualifications

·         High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.

·         2+ years of CNC laser operation and programming experience (preferably 6KW+).

·         Knowledge of metals, cutting speeds, and tolerances.

·         Experience with shuttle tables for efficient material handling.

·         Proficient in CAD/CAM laser programming software.

·         Strong problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail.

·         Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for long periods.
