Job Overview
We are seeking highly skilled MIG/Fitter Welders to join a leading fabrication company specializing in the assembly and welding of pole sections. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of welding and fabrication techniques.
Primary Responsibilities
Utilize welding measuring devices, including squares, levels, and tape measures, to ensure accurate assembly.
Select fabrication equipment and develop a layout, assembly, and welding procedures.
Secure components by bolting, clamping, and tack-welding before final welding.
Set up and operate Arc, Gas-Shielded Arc, or Gas Welding equipment to weld parts.
Assemble parts using bolting methods as required.
Perform product repairs by dismantling, reshaping, and reassembling parts using fabrication equipment such as plate rolling machines, plate cutting machines, cutting torches, and other welding fabrication tools.
Clean poles and welds as required to maintain quality standards.
Maintain and take accountability for essential tools and equipment provided for the job.
Ensure compliance with state and federal laws, ISO Quality Program standards, company policies, and safety & environmental regulations.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirements
Proficiency in Metalcore MIG welding
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints
Experience in fabrication and assembly
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
