Burn Table Programmer

Pay: $25/hr. (Based on experience)

Hours:  Monday-Friday 7AM—4:30PM

What you’ll be doing:

Join our metal fabrication team as a Burn Table Programmer with AutoCAD expertise! In this role, you will be responsible for programming and operating CNC burn tables to cut precision metal parts and components. You’ll develop and input programs for CNC burn tables, including plasma and oxyfuel cutting systems, based on production drawings and material specifications. Your proficiency in AutoCAD will be key to creating, modifying, and interpreting technical drawings and cutting paths for metal components. You’ll collaborate with engineers to optimize designs for the cutting process, set up and operate burn table machines, and ensure the accuracy and quality of cut parts by inspecting and measuring them. Additionally, you’ll diagnose and resolve issues during the cutting process, maintain detailed records, and perform routine maintenance on burn tables to ensure optimal performance.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in programming and operating CNC burn tables in a metal fabrication environment.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (OmniWin Software preferred) for creating and modifying cutting paths and designs.
  • In-depth knowledge of CNC burn table machines, including plasma and oxy-fuel cutting systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and material specifications.
  • Strong focus on accuracy and precision in programming and cutting processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in troubleshooting issues with cutting programs or machine operation.
