Position Overview

The Brake Press Operator supports metal fabrication operations by setting up and operating press brake machines to form metal components according to project specifications. This Brake Press Operator role requires reading blueprints, monitoring machine operations, and inspecting finished parts to ensure quality and precision. The ideal Brake Press Operator is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and experienced in metal forming within a fabrication or manufacturing environment.

Required Experience & Skills

• Experience operating press brakes or similar fabrication equipment preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to perform basic machine setup and routine maintenance
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a production-focused fabrication environment

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate press brake machines to shape and form various types of metal
• Review and interpret blueprints for fabrication projects
• Perform machine setup and tooling adjustments for production runs
• Inspect formed metal parts to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality
• Make machine and tooling adjustments to maintain production standards
• Perform routine machine maintenance and upkeep as required
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
• Follow all company safety policies and operational procedures

Preferred Experience

• Previous fabrication or metal forming experience preferred
