Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Brake Press Operator to join a precision metal fabrication team in Tulsa, OK. The Brake Press Operator will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating brake press machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal components according to precise specifications. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, blueprint reading ability, and a commitment to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate brake press machines, selecting proper tools, dies, and settings based on blueprints or work orders.
• Bend, form, and shape metal sheets to meet exact specifications and tolerances.
• Perform quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify precision.
• Maintain and clean brake press machines regularly; report any mechanical issues to supervisors.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to confirm required materials and dimensions.
• Safely load and unload materials, minimizing waste and ensuring proper storage.
• Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements to maintain a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
• Maintain accurate production and maintenance records.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Brake Press Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes, tools, and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficient in using measurement instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team setting under deadlines.
• Basic math skills for angle and material thickness calculations.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to workplace safety.
