Job Position: Brake Press and Plasma Operator

Pay Rate: $16.00 - $20.00/hr + 10% Shift Differential
Shift:
· Sunday – Wednesday: 7:00 PM – 5:30 AM
· Thursday & Friday: 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM
· Total Hours: 56 Hours Per Week

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Brake Press and Plasma Operator to join our team in Oklahoma City. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating brake presses and plasma tables while ensuring a high standard of quality and safety. This role requires a keen eye for detail, adherence to production schedules, and proficiency in interpreting blueprints and Bills of Materials (BOM).
Key Responsibilities:
· Equipment Operation:
o Operate brake press and plasma table to fabricate parts according to production schedules and BOM specifications.
o Safely operate additional fabrication machinery, including band saws and blast booths.
o Ensure accurate measurements using tape measures and calipers with precision up to 1/16 inch, and convert measurements to decimals (e.g., .0625).
· Material Management:
o Verify the correct materials are used in accordance with BOM requirements.
o Organize and prepare raw materials for fabrication processes.
o Safely handle materials using cranes, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
· Quality Assurance & Safety:
o Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to all safety standards.
o Perform tank preparation operations, including pressure testing and prepping parts for painting.
o Follow all company policies and safety guidelines to ensure workplace compliance.
· Production Support:
o Read and interpret blueprints, manufacturing instructions, and BOM to meet project requirements.
o Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production goals and deadlines.
o Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or team leads.
Qualifications:
· Ability to perform all essential duties satisfactorily with minimal supervision.
· Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
· Successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.

Education & Experience:
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Two or more years of experience operating brake presses, plasma tables, or related fabrication machinery preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
· Language Skills:
o Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, instructions, and production memos.
o Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members.
· Mathematical Skills:
o Strong proficiency in basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
· Reasoning Ability:
o Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret written or oral instructions and apply logical thinking to production challenges.
· Technical Skills:
o Basic computer proficiency to log and track production tasks.
