Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Biomedical Engineering Technician with a required Dialysis License to join the medical equipment management team at Saint Francis Health System in Tulsa, OK. The Biomedical Engineering Technician will provide preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration of clinical and surgical equipment — ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency throughout the hospital. This position plays a vital role in supporting staff and maintaining high standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
• Repair, calibrate, and install a wide range of clinical, physiological, respiratory, surgical, dialysis, communications, and monitoring systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and safety checks on all clinical and biomedical systems.
• Provide emergency service and troubleshooting support during surgical procedures or clinical operations.
• Maintain detailed equipment history and documentation, including labor, parts, and service records.
• Instruct and train staff on proper equipment operation and safety procedures.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and uphold all hospital standards and compliance requirements.
• Participate in the department’s on-call rotation and respond promptly to service requests.
• Promote and uphold the Mission, Vision, and Values of the Saint Francis Health System in daily operations.
Qualifications & Experience
• Dialysis License required — must meet all compliance standards.
• 1–2 years of experience in biomedical or clinical equipment repair and maintenance.
• Proficiency with computers, diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and service manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities and professionalism when working with clinical staff and leadership.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
Physical & Work Environment
• Regular interaction with healthcare professionals, patients, and customers.
• Requires handling, inspecting, and repairing medical devices in clinical settings.
• Must be able to work independently and exercise sound technical judgment.
