Job Description:

Under limited supervision, performs a wide variety of repetitive and non-repetitive mechanical assembly to:

Meter Tube Assembly (orifice meters, ultrasonic, etc.). Large diameter flange assembly (12"-48" flanges). Assemble Threading Piping use pipe threading tools (Rigid threaders, etc).  Use of adjustable jack stands and assembly pipe spools in stands. Perform high pressure hydro-testing (2000+p sig) Hydro-testing w/ deadweight, chart recorders, temperature readings, etc.  Use automatic hydraulic torquing equipment (like Hytorc or Torc-up brands). Use manual torquing wrenches. Ability to read blueprint's / drawings/ bills of material. General Knowledge of piping, fittings, flanges, valves, etc.  Use Air tools (impact wrenches, etc.). Overhead Crane and forklift. Proper rigging techniques with straps, chains, etc.
