We are looking for an Inventory Data Analyst to join our ecommerce team. The successful candidate will provide data-driven insights into inventory optimization. This role is responsible for analyzing product performance, creating detailed reports, forecasting future demand and suggesting cost-effective strategies to manage stock levels. What problem will you be solving?
- Multiple data sources that lead to inefficiency in the forecasting process. 
- Lack of transparency on inventory health
- Lack of a dedicated person to look after moving inventory across all our locations

Key responsibilities:
Demand & Distribution Planning
- Collect data from internal and external sources on factors known to affect demand
- Utilize our apps to analyze sales, stock, and historical sales trends
- Maintain & re-align our forecasting setting to match current targets & lead times
- Obtain information on occurrences that could impact demand like promotions and production delays
- Gathering updates on retailers, distributors, and other internal stakeholders that can affect demand- Strengthen demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons
- Provide input to the supply chain team in developing inventory distribution strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs
- Refine systems and methods to improve forecasts in order to better anticipate customer needs

Software:
- Inventory management software (DEAR systems experience is a plus)
- A master of Google Sheet/Excel 

Skillset:
- Forecasting & Reporting

- Ability to follow and understand big-picture economic trends
- Ability to interpret complex datasets and identify relationships between variables.
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Outstanding communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

Experience:
- Knowledge of data analysis methods and techniques.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and principles.
- Experience utilizing Excel or other spreadsheet programs for data manipulation.
- Good to have: Bachelor's degree in business, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field.
