Our backend team

Our backend team is responsible for designing, building and maintaining new functionality on top of our 4Ps decision hub, which enables our customers to explore and analyze millions of data points to discover trends, uncover patterns, reveal opportunities, and act upon them.

 

Your opportunity

We're looking for a passionate senior backend developer to join our core backend team. You’re expected to be fully hands-on, lead your parts from A-Z (architecture, implementation, and deployment) and mentor the new members in our growing team.  

 

Your day-to-day

✔  Design, build, and maintain scalable web and data services

✔  Improve the performance and reliability of our code-base through continuous refactoring

✔  Solve challenging data scalability issues

✔  Share knowledge, evangelize best practices

✔  Coach, mentor other team members

Skills Required

✔ 5 years of experience building scalable and reliable backend services

✔ Fluency in backend server development, and expertise in relational databases and schema design

✔ Previous experience building and maintaining systems with at least 2 of the following languages                            Ruby, Java (Scala, Clojure too), Go, Javascript (TypeScript), Python, Elixir

✔ Familiarity and experience with leading software methodologies: CI/CD, TDD etc’

✔ Experiences in cloud infrastructure of containers, including Docker, Kubernetes

✔ At least 3 years of experience working in a start-up

✔ A team player -  communicating, participating and helping

✔ Self-motivated and able to achieve deadlines and work independently

✔ Have successfully mentored other developers

✔ Excellent interpersonal communication skills
