About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Freelance Business Development Manager to join our team and spearhead the acquisition of delegates, nomination awardees, and sponsorships for our proposed trade delegation to Seychelles in the first week of February 2025. This exciting opportunity involves identifying and engaging potential candidates from all corners of the globe, ultimately contributing to the success of this prestigious event.

Responsibilities:

  • Delegate Acquisition: Actively seek out and engage potential delegates from diverse industries and regions worldwide. Utilize effective networking, cold calling, and email outreach strategies to build a strong pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Nomination Award Acquisition: Identify deserving individuals or organizations for the prestigious Global Icon Recognition Award bestowed by the Minister of Seychelles. Conduct thorough research and engage with potential nominees to secure their participation.
  • Sponsorship Acquisition: Source and engage potential sponsors interested in supporting the trade delegation. Develop compelling sponsorship packages and negotiate favourable terms to maximize revenue generation.
  • Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with acquired delegates, nomination awardees, and sponsors, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and engagement.
  • Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, including delegate acquisitions, nomination award registrations, and sponsorship enrolments.
  • Communication: Maintain regular communication with the project team, providing updates on progress and addressing any challenges or inquiries.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in business development or sales, with a demonstrated ability to exceed targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a passion for driving business growth.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.

Compensation:

This is a freelance position with a commission-based compensation structure:

  • Delegate Acquisition: 10-20% per successfully acquired delegate.
  • Nomination Award: 10-20% of Rs. 1.50 Lakhs (Nomination Award Fee) per successfully registered nomination award.
  • Sponsorship: 10-20% of the Sponsorship Fee per successfully enrolled sponsorship.
