QuEra Computing is seeking a creative DevOps Engineer who will be a key collaborator in our efforts to launch the first publicly-accessible neutral-atom quantum computer.

About you

You are passionate about collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to design, implement, and refine automated pipelines that enable development teams to iterate efficiently and deliver high-quality custom software components.

You are not satisfied with mediocre cookie-cutter approaches. You thrive when challenged to step outside the familiar to design solutions that are tailored to user needs.

Your are eager to apply your strong experience with containerization, orchestration, public/private cloud, and event-driven system architecture to help us create a system with the reliability and flexibility that will enable us to operate and evolve QuEra's publicly-accessible quantum computing service.

You demonstrate the ethos of continuous improvement in your eagerness to discuss and apply lessons learned from successes and failures, past and present.

How to apply

  • How you collaborate with colleagues across diverse disciplines to design and evolve the pipelines and processes that facilitate development of high-quality custom software and systems.
  • The technical expertise relevant for deploying systems that span from an on-premises data center to VPC, including: infrastructure as code, pipelines for compiled and interpreted languages (especially C/C++, Kotlin, Julia, Python), deployment and monitoring of containerized and bare-metal workloads.
  • The engineering practices you employ to improve software development productivity, ensure system reliability/recoverability, minimize downtime deploys, maintain system security, and protect user data privacy.
  • How you have taken on the challenges inherent in a commitment to continuous improvement.
