Closers.io is seeking a full-time Head of Business Development to lead the partnership and affiliate initiative by generating, nurturing, and closing  affiliate partnerships opportunities . This role will be working cross functionally with the Director of Operations and Chief Revenue Officer. This will be a key role in growing their Business Development program, reporting directly to the CRO (Chief Revenue Officer.

On a typical day, this person will be deeply involved in all communications with existing and potential partners and affiliates, cultivating and growing relationships with a growing list of JVs. They will continue to grow the affiliate program through extensive research, outreach, and continued relationship building through the online coaching space. The ideal candidate for this role will be great at outreach and needs a fluent understanding of the marketing metrics of our funnels – since this will ultimately be a traffic channel for Closers.io.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting:

    • Research, generate and nurture potential partnerships with sponsors in the online coaching industry

    • Build out list of sponsors, JVs, and affiliate deals through industry networking and continued research 

  • Development: 

    • Generate leads/conversations through cold outreach to potential sponsors/affiliates to start building and nurturing relationships

    • Develop strategic and lasting relationships with each partner to cultivate multiple deal opportunities 

    • Negotiate and close deals with partners 

    • Continue to nurture and strengthen relationships with new affiliates and existing partnerships

    • Completely own and manage the affiliate partner program from initial lead to execution of contract

  • Monitoring, Analyzing, and Reporting: 

    • Monitor and keep a close eye KPIs to ensure they are being met

    • Implement relevant KPIs

    • Report the data and trends from findings, proactively provide solutions or recommendations for improvement, but most importantly understand data and use it to optimize and improve upon strategy

  • Team

    • Work closely with Recruiting/Operations and Sales to collaborate about potential partnership initiatives

    • Collaborate with team leaders to ensure initiatives and partnerships in process integrate with the bigger picture and vision in a way that is scalable

Must Have:

  • Background in sales, marketing, and/or business development required 

  • Preferred relevant work experience in Business Development through building out Affiliate Partnerships

  • A thorough understanding of the online coaching space 

  • Thorough understanding of marketing metrics

  • Confident, clear, and dynamic communicator. Strong written and verbal skills required.

  • A natural relationship builder – authentic communicator with a strong ability to influence, negotiate and find win-win opportunities in every situation

  • Self-starter capable of staying focused in a challenging, fast paced environment

  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently

  • Highly motivated to succeed and capable of expanding the necessary effort

  • Strong leadership ability with a focus on accountability and proactivity

  • Ability to anticipate needs, think critically, and offer solutions
