We seek experienced Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanics to join our dynamic team in Seattle, WA, specializing in repairing and maintaining yard mulls, forklifts, rail movers, and container handlers. As a crucial member of our maintenance crew, you will play a key role in ensuring our heavy-duty equipment's optimal performance and reliability.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough diagnostics to identify issues and perform repairs on yard mulls, forklifts, rail movers, container handlers, and other industrial equipment.
  • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, and inspections, to ensure equipment longevity and performance.
  • Investigate and resolve complex mechanical and electrical problems efficiently to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Replace faulty or worn-out components.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
  • Conduct test drives after repairs to validate the effectiveness of the maintenance work and ensure equipment meets operational standards.
 
Requirements:
  • In-depth understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex mechanical issues.
  • Able to weld and fabricate.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions.
  • Must have your own set of tools.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean MVR.
  • Should be able to clear a criminal record check and drug screen.
 
Compensation:
$35 - $45/hr. plus bonus, comprehensive benefits including Dental, Health, Vision, and Matching 401K.
 
Shift:
Days, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Monday thru Friday. Lots of OT available and paid after 8 hours daily.
