Position Overview: As an Advanced Practice Nurse at Priority Group Services, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality mental health care to children and adolescents. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic interventions to address the unique needs of each individual.

Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis:

    • Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and formulate accurate diagnoses.

    • Collaborate with team members to develop comprehensive treatment plans.

  • Therapeutic Interventions:

    • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to children and adolescents.

    • Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on individual progress.

  • Medication Management:

    • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications as needed.

    • Monitor and evaluate medication effectiveness, adjusting dosages as necessary.

  • Collaboration with Multidisciplinary Team:

    • Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other professionals to coordinate integrated care.

    • Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss treatment strategies.

  • Crisis Intervention:

    • Participate in crisis intervention as needed.

    • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement crisis prevention plans.

  • Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.

    • Provide written reports and updates to the team as required.

Qualifications:

  • Current Advanced Practice Nurse license in the state of New Jersey.

  • Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

  • Experience in child and adolescent psychiatry preferred.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and crisis intervention skills.
