Position Overview: As an Advanced Practice Nurse at Priority Group Services, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality mental health care to children and adolescents. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic interventions to address the unique needs of each individual.
Responsibilities:
Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis:
Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and formulate accurate diagnoses.
Collaborate with team members to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
Therapeutic Interventions:
Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to children and adolescents.
Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on individual progress.
Medication Management:
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications as needed.
Monitor and evaluate medication effectiveness, adjusting dosages as necessary.
Collaboration with Multidisciplinary Team:
Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other professionals to coordinate integrated care.
Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss treatment strategies.
Crisis Intervention:
Participate in crisis intervention as needed.
Collaborate with the team to develop and implement crisis prevention plans.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
Provide written reports and updates to the team as required.
Qualifications:
Current Advanced Practice Nurse license in the state of New Jersey.
Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Experience in child and adolescent psychiatry preferred.
Strong communication, collaboration, and crisis intervention skills.
