Job Description
Cargo Bike Rider
Its as easy as riding a bike, right?
Pedal Me have been moving people and cargo around London in style and with zero emissions since 2017. We operate a large fleet of cargo bikes and custom monster trailers servicing private and corporate customer needs.
Join us and you could be: transporting a couple across London to see their friends, delivering freshly baked breads to the restaurant industry or helping someone with a house move- every day will provide variety and a challenge if you join our exceptional and friendly team.

What we are looking for:
Problem solvers - missing a  piece of information for your drop off? Juggling multiple different jobs in your cargo space? All while negotiating traffic in central London? Riders at Pedal Me are fully supported throughout the day but there will be many occasions that test your ability to quickly make decisions and find information to complete your task.
Resilience - London isn't Los Angeles! Many people's first thoughts turn to the weather when considering outside jobs in London, and we get our fair share of wet. Riding all day is hard whatever the weather, you will need to have the ability to push on through adversity when it happens.
Smiles for miles - Riding a Pedal Me requires constant communication, with other road users of all types and our customers at the start and end of jobs. We need you to be an effective and positive communicator with polished customer service skills.
Bike geeks- not essential but if you like bicycles you are going to have a fun time riding ours!

What we provide:
Full training in the Pedal Me way. Our training for Cargo and Passenger riding has been accredited by City and Guilds and is a level 3 qualification. We'll give you the skills, techniques and confidence you need to do well in this job.
A fair wage and guaranteed hours. We employ all our staff, no zero hours contracts, so you will accrue paid annual leave and be covered by a sick pay policy. Currently all riders achieve the national living wage and we are tweaking our commission system to ensure that going forward we can get every rider earning the London living wage or higher.
Snazzy pink uniform. Its pink and bright and gets lots of smiles.
Out of work access to a cargo bike. If you take the bike home between shifts we are very happy for you to use it for personal errands (non commercial obviously), we're sorry if this results in your friends making endless requests for you to help them!
