Overview:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Procurement Manager to join our team in the cosmetic manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement processes, excellent negotiation skills, and a passion for maintaining optimal inventory levels while ensuring cost-effectiveness. This role will be pivotal in sourcing raw materials, packaging, and other supplies essential for our cosmetic production lines. The Purchasing Coordinator will collaborate closely with suppliers, production teams, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials to support our manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Procurement Strategy: Develop and execute procurement strategies to meet production needs while optimizing costs and maintaining quality standards.
- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers who can consistently deliver high-quality raw materials, packaging, and other supplies required for cosmetic manufacturing.
- Negotiation: Negotiate favourable terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and reliability of supply.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and packaging to prevent shortages or overages, utilizing inventory management systems to track stock levels and forecast future requirements.
- Purchase Orders: Generate purchase orders accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure that purchased materials meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Supplier Performance Evaluation: Conduct regular assessments of supplier performance, addressing any issues or discrepancies promptly to maintain a reliable supply chain.
- Cost Analysis: Analyze pricing trends, market conditions, and supplier performance data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, such as supply shortages, quality issues, or supplier disruptions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, quality assurance, and finance, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of procurement activities with overall business objectives.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies related to procurement and supply chain management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably within the cosmetic manufacturing industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to cosmetic manufacturing (e.g., FDA regulations, GMP).
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
