Position Description  

You will be a key part of Pani’s Engineering team reporting to the CTO. You will be responsible for working closely with our researchers, engineers, software developers and subject matter experts to shape our product for a diverse group of international customers and help project manage delivery to our early adopters and strategic partners. You’ll be working with tools like ClickUp, and navigating product design tools such as Figma. You will also have occasional interactions with clients to support the team.

What you bring to the team 

  • University degree in engineering, business or relevant equivalent experience  
  • Product Owner or Scrum Master Certification 
  • 3+ years of experience in a product ownership (or equivalent) role 
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles 
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences 
  • Natural collaborator with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback 
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills  
  • Eager to be part of a fast-paced team 
  • Quick adaptability and prioritization skills 

Responsibilities  

  • Take the lead of scrum teams as the Product Owner 
  • Provide vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project, also creating the necessary project requirements  
  • Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on 
  • Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and product development 
  • Define product vision, roadmap and growth opportunities  
  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy 
  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories 
  • Work closely with CTO to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI 
  • Lead the planning of product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new product functionality 
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals 
  • Research and analyze the product market, users, and roadmap 
  • Keep a close pulse on our competitors and the industry  
  • Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends 

Nice to Have  

  • Experience in the water industry, ideally in water/wastewater treatment 
  • Experience working for a SaaS startup
