We are a venture studio building and scaling multiple SaaS products. We’re looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join us on a part-time basis.
Your role will be both strategic and hands-on:
Guide and mentor our junior DevOps engineer, ensuring best practices and professional growth.
Set the DevOps culture across our portfolio, so every SaaS product we build has a secure, scalable, and reliable foundation.
What You’ll Do
Mentor and guide our junior DevOps engineer through code reviews, coaching, and structured workflows.
Architect and oversee cloud infrastructure to support SaaS reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Build and improve CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth, automated, and safe deployments.
Own monitoring, observability, and alerting — keeping uptime and performance front and center.
Step in for complex issues: deployments, troubleshooting, incident response.
Establish governance: documentation, runbooks, security protocols, and operational excellence.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years in DevOps/SRE/Infrastructure Engineering.
Direct experience in SaaS environments — you understand uptime SLAs, customer data sensitivity, and the stakes of downtime.
Deep expertise with AWS/GCP/Azure (adjust based on your stack).
Strong CI/CD background (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar).
Containers & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Monitoring & observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
Security-first mindset: IAM, compliance frameworks, incident management.
Excellent communicator, able to mentor and bring structure to a fast-moving team.
Nice to Have
Experience working with startups or growth-stage SaaS companies.
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, etc.).
Prior mentoring or team lead experience.
Engagement Details
Part-time / fractional role (10–20 hours per week, flexible).
Long-term collaboration (not just a short project).
Remote-first.
