Do you have a strong team of supporters and/or prayer warriors in your home country that we can hold you accountable to? How deep is that tie and how many are over you?
[If you become a missionary teacher in Japan, it is key that no affiliate organization of ours with whom you may work with loses face or reputation simply because permission was not expressively attained and/or ample consideration for everyone involved was omitted. Accountability (as opposed to the ego and individuality) is essential because it incorporates both a responsibilities and benefits. If accountable, please, explain how close or tight those ties are. How many members are you vertically and/or laterally responsible to? Who are the main leaders and how responsible are you to them and vice versa.]
On one final note, it is good to state clearly our specific situation at hand so that no one feels disgruntled or misled. One point of frustration for some is the fact that there is more scripture and evangelism in our preschools than in our Eikaiwas (English Conversation Schools). And, there is a reason for this if anyone needs us to explain it to them beforehand, and we are more than willing to talk about these points in person. Also, it is true that our missionary teachers in Japan do not receive a big salaries because what is often considered a decent amount often exceeds the national standards of what a religious activities work visa provides or says that we should guarantee. Any amount greater than what immigration suggests and/or has written down by the books means that if anyone is looking for a greater income opportunity then they ought to be seeking work from different kind of employer who can grant a different kind of work visa. Moreover, we call our post an internship opportunity because it is a fulfilling a specific opportunity other than monetary output and it is a great privilege to work here with a specific calling and purpose. After your third year in March is complete, you will receive either a promotion if not sooner or have the opportunity to move on to something else anywhere in the nation. With that said, most of our workers, however, do remain working with us until they feel the need to go back to their home-country. If you have any questions, please, feel free to include them here below.
