Bookkeeper
Department: Hospitality
Reporting Structure: Reports to the Front Office Manager
A Resort Bookkeeper manages the daily financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and daily revenue reconciliation for rooms, dining, and amenities.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue & Cash Control: Reconcile daily revenue from various departments (rooms, food & beverage, spa) and balance bank statements.
Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process vendor invoices, manage payroll, and handle collections for group bookings or corporate clients.
Budget & Forecasting: Assist management in developing annual budgets and monitoring expenses against budget goals.
Internal Controls & Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial policies, internal controls, and tax compliance (e.g., VAT, lodging taxes).
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience: Previous experience in hospitality, hotel, or resort accounting is often preffered.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and property management systems (PMS) or specialized hospitality software.
Competencies: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines during month-end closing.
Pay Rate: $17.13 - $18.00 Per Hour
