In 1994 North Iowa Diesel Started doing Truck and Trailer Repair along with Sales of Truck and Trailers. Today North Iowa Diesel does repair on all trucks and trailers anything big or small. We also provide roll-off dumpster service for residential and commercial uses. Here at North Iowa Diesel we also have 24/7 Road Service. North Iowa Diesel Has Always been a family owned and operated business. Here at North Iowa Diesel our mission is to do the best job possible at the most Reasonable Rates.

Diesel Mechanic/Technician Job Duties

 

Responsible for repairing, maintaining diesel engines and diesel components used in various vehicles and diesel equipment.

 

Technical degree or certification a plus.

 

Accurately and efficiently diagnose complex diesel engine conditions and make necessary repairs.

Communicate effectively with peers, foreman, and service team regarding those repairs.

Quality control work performed to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.

Keep paperwork updated and handed in upon completion.

Meet requirements for certifications.

 

Diesel Mechanic/Technician Requirements

Valid Driver's license (Bonus compensation for CDL holders)

Must possess a good work ethic, a positive attitude, and be reliable.

Must possess an excellent understanding of Detroit Diesel engines through the current GHG17 product.

Experience with other diesel engine platforms such as Cummins, CAT, & International are a plus.

Other mechanical skills desired but not essential: Hydraulics, Brakes & Suspension, Manual Transmissions, Drive Train and Automatic Transmissions.
