Position Overview:
Accelerate Piscataway is seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Supervisor to join our team. As an RN Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This position offers a day shift schedule and competitive pay of $60 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Management: Supervise and support nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs. Develop and manage staff schedules, address performance issues, and provide guidance and mentorship.
- Patient Care Oversight: Monitor and ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care. Oversee patient assessments, care planning, and implementation of treatment plans. Ensure adherence to care standards and protocols.
- Clinical Support: Provide clinical guidance and support for complex patient cases. Assist with direct patient care as needed and ensure effective use of resources.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and staff activities. Prepare reports on nursing performance, patient outcomes, and other relevant metrics.
- Coordination and Communication: Collaborate with physicians, healthcare professionals, and other departments to ensure cohesive patient care. Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans and updates.
- Emergency Response: Lead or participate in emergency response situations, including code blue events, ensuring prompt and appropriate interventions.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies. Implement best practices to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
Qualifications:
- Education: Valid RN license and a degree in nursing (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a dynamic healthcare environment.
- Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required; additional certifications may be preferred based on department needs.
