Position Overview:
Accelerate Piscataway is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist to join our team. This full-time position offers a day shift schedule with an attractive hourly rate of $40 to $45, depending on experience. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in evaluating, treating, and managing patients to help them achieve optimal physical function and recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their physical condition, mobility, and functional limitations. Develop personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Treatment Planning: Design and implement individualized therapy programs to address patients’ specific needs, including exercises, manual therapy, and other modalities.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on exercise techniques, injury prevention, and strategies to improve physical function and manage conditions.
- Progress Monitoring: Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes. Maintain accurate and detailed records in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure integrated and effective patient care.
- Discharge Planning: Develop discharge plans and recommendations for follow-up care, including home exercise programs and referrals to other specialists if needed.
- Infection Control: Follow infection control protocols and safety procedures to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications:
- Education: Doctoral or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Licensing: Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Physical Therapist is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Skills: Strong clinical skills, critical thinking abilities, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to develop effective treatment plans and motivate patients.
- Certifications: Additional certifications such as Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT) or other relevant specialties are a plus.
