Wellbeing Coach (Contract) – Make a Real Impact in Mental Health and Wellbeing

Our Wellbeing Coaches confidently engage with our customers by reaching out via telephone, to offer and provide coaching to assist people to identify issues and find solutions to transform their outlook and to help them set goals to improve their lifestyle and wellbeing.

Through the course of a multi session program, the structure involves creating a positive, highly supportive relationship with each customer and providing ongoing follow-up and motivational support to assist them to achieve the health improvement they desire.

About the Role:

  • Coaching sessions conducted via phone and/or video conference
  • Manage your caseload in line with the program schedule
  • Complete intakes, customer progress notes and final reporting
  • Invoice Mindstar for payment of sessions completed

 Please note there is no guarantee of hours, though there is a capacity for this coaching work to continue to expand in volume over time.

 

 As a Wellbeing Coach, you’ll have:

  • A friendly, engaging, and positive outlook
  • To be intuitive, naturally empathetic, with the ability to respond suitably in a timely manner
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – written, in person, over the phone or via video platform
  • To be a quick thinker with the ability to provide effective solutions on the spot
  • To demonstrate discretion, confidentiality, sensitivity, and respect
  • To be a self-starter, motivator and work with complete autonomy
  • Be community-minded and motivated to make positive change

 

 What You’ll Bring:

  • 3+ years clinical experience, supporting customers with complex mental health conditions
  • Qualifications in Psychology, Social Work or Counselling and applicable membership/registration:
    • For Counsellors - minimum of Level 3 membership with ACA or PACFA Clinical members
    • For Psychologists - minimum of General AHPRA Registration
    • For Social Workers - Accredited Mental Health Social Worker or Clinical Social Worker with psychological training and experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of core health and wellbeing practices, trauma-informed care and supporting individuals at risk
  • The desire to contribute positively to the improvement of our customer’s health and wellbeing and motivation to see others succeed
  • The ability to maintain and securely store accurate and confidential records
  • Tech-savvy skills with M365 and G-Suite experience

 

Requirements:

  • Current ABN
  • Current Professional Indemnity & Public Liability insurance certificate that shows: 
  • Professional indemnity insurance no less than $20 million per occurrence  
  • Public liability insurance no less than $20 million per occurrence  
  • Current national police check (no older than 6 months)
  • Own office equipment (laptop, phone and reliable internet)
  •  Own external clinical supervision
  •  Completion of verified Cyber Security and Mindstar training
  • Located in and be eligible to work in Australia
