Job Summary
- Perform surgical procedures to treat musculoskeletal injuries, diseases, and deformities.
- Evaluate patients' medical history, symptoms, and diagnostic test results to determine the appropriate treatment plan.
- Order and interpret imaging tests, such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs, to aid in diagnosis.
- Prescribe medications, physical therapy, and other non-surgical treatments as necessary.
- Monitor patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physical therapists and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive care.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in orthopedic surgery by attending conferences and participating in continuing education activities.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in patient care.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited residency program in orthopedic surgery.
- Board certification or eligibility for board certification in orthopedic surgery.
- Valid medical license to practice as an orthopedic surgeon.
- Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Excellent surgical skills with a proven track record of successful procedures.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, their families, and medical staff.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle emergency situations.
