Senior Accountant

Reports to the Accounting Director

In this vital role, reporting directly to the Accounting Director and working with key team members.

• · This role will allow you to grow as you train and develop your small team personally. 
• · This role is very visible and will offer you no two days as being the same. 
•  Taking ownership of all journal entries and attention to detail.
• Accomplishments include automation and leading process changes.

We seek a Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in Deer Park's Oil & Energy industry. The ideal candidate will oversee the company's financial activities, ensuring accuracy and regulation compliance. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a passion for numbers.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accruals and other journal entries as required. Complete account analysis and account reconciliations
• Prepare and analyze financial reports
• Manage general ledger accounts
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Assist with timely completion of requests from internal and external auditors
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA preferred
• 5+ years of accounting experience, public accounting strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
