Job Overview

We seek an experienced Finance and Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and support strategic growth in our SaaS business. This role will manage key financial processes, lead a small team, and provide insights into critical SaaS metrics to drive business success.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and ASC 606 for subscription-based revenue.
• Calculate and analyze SaaS metrics such as Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR), Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Lifetime Value (LTV), and churn rates.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Lead and mentor a team of accountants, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Ensure accurate sales tax compliance and manage nexus issues across multiple states.
• Utilize accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle) to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and product, to align financial goals with business objectives.
• Present financial insights to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a SaaS or subscription-based business.
• Strong understanding of SaaS financial metrics (MRR, ARR, CAC, LTV, churn) and revenue recognition (ASC 606).
• Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, and Oracle.
• Proven leadership skills, with experience managing or mentoring accounting teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving business outcomes.
• Strong communication skills to present complex financial data to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with ERP system implementation is a plus.
