Position Summary

The Finishing / Deburr Technician is responsible for removing burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections from CNC-machined parts. This role ensures parts meet quality standards, are safe to handle, and are ready for inspection or shipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deburr and finish machined parts using hand tools, air tools, and abrasive equipment

  • Perform edge breaking, sanding, polishing, and surface blending

  • Inspect parts for burrs, scratches, and other defects

  • Use basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify part quality

  • Follow blueprints, work instructions, and customer specifications

  • Clean and properly handle parts to prevent damage

  • Identify and report non-conforming parts

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1+ year of manufacturing or machining experience preferred

  • Ability to use hand tools and basic measuring equipment

  • Basic understanding of prints or willingness to learn

  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination

  • Ability to work with small or precision parts

  • Dependable and able to meet production goals

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing shop environment with noise and machinery
