Job Brief:
We are looking to hire a talented and experienced Motion & Video Editor to join our team at Maison Infratech. As a video editor, you should have expert knowledge of modern video editing techniques, and be able to visualize ideas and work according to a strict time schedule. Ultimately, a top-notch video editor can perfectly translate an idea into a beautifully crafted film or video piece, worth sharing.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Establish a clear understanding of the theme, purpose and storyline of the video's creation and be able to bring sight and sound together.
- Meet requirements, research, discover and implement new editing technologies and best industry practices to maximize efficiency
- Able to carry out and deliver deliverables with speed, data collation and time management
- Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film, input music, and graphics, create rough and final cuts and ensure logical sequencing and smooth functioning of clips.
- Able to manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience.
- Edit, improvise to include preselected music theme, interviews, sound clips, aspects related to the project, ensure correct formatting and presentations video and sound quality using various video software and prepare a final as per the client’s requirements.
- Review footage, manage material, gather and transfer all forms of media into editing software and ensure each was updated in the correct format/s for a final outcome.
- Understanding various themes, to establish the desired look and feel for videos to be created, consult with stakeholders.
- Ability to create proposed storyboard draft of the video, receive approval before alteration/edition to videos
Requirements for the Role:
- This position is open for Video Editor having at least 1 year of experience with a creative, mindful and positive approach.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor of Arts/ Science in Video Editing, Film and TV production, Business in Mass Media Communication, Journalism or any associated education/ training undertaken.
- Hands-on software experience in Adobe Premiere Pro, Audition & After Effects.
To be successful in the role:
- A keen eye for detail, creative, passionate and focused.
- Able to edit, and assemble recorded raw materials, and compile video footage and computer graphics into a finished deliverable for Streaming.
- Training in computer programs and systems is a must used for digital video/film editing and visual media and effects.
- Coordination is a key aspect and syncing information at all levels with all departments working on assignments/ projects.
- Must be deadline-driven, speed is a crucial element and ability to work under high-pressure environments.
