Mechanical Engineering Internship In Bali

Berlin , Berlin , Germany

16 Oct 2025

Mechanical Engineering Specialist

Fund Size: €90M USD
Location: Bali, Indonesia (with global impact)
Focus: Sustainable technology innovation and advanced engineering solutions
Start: ASAP

Important Note: This is an unpaid internship. We don't cover accommodation, food, visa, or flights. What do we offer? The chance to build skills that don't exist in textbooks, work on projects that matter, and live like the future leader you're meant to be.

What You'll Do: Design and optimize sophisticated mechanical systems for sustainable technology applications, combining European engineering excellence with cutting-edge simulation and design tools to create solutions that meet the highest standards of performance, efficiency, and reliability. You'll develop mechanical components and assemblies for renewable energy systems, sustainable manufacturing equipment, and environmental technology solutions using advanced CAD modeling and ANSYS simulation capabilities. Your responsibilities include creating detailed 3D models and technical drawings using professional CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar), performing comprehensive finite element analysis (FEA) using ANSYS to optimize structural integrity, thermal performance, and dynamic behavior of mechanical systems, and conducting computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to optimize airflow, heat transfer, and fluid systems in sustainable technology applications. You'll also design mechanical systems for wind turbines, solar tracking mechanisms, and energy storage solutions, perform stress analysis and fatigue calculations to ensure long-term reliability under varying environmental conditions, and develop mechanical testing protocols and validation procedures for sustainable technology components. Additionally, you'll optimize mechanical designs for manufacturing efficiency and cost-effectiveness, collaborate with international teams to implement mechanical solutions across different regulatory environments, and contribute to the development of next-generation mechanical systems that could transform sustainable technology performance and accessibility.

Required Technical Skills:

  • ANSYS Expertise: Proficiency in ANSYS Workbench, including structural analysis, thermal analysis, and CFD simulations
  • CAD Proficiency: Advanced skills in 3D modeling using SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or equivalent professional CAD software
  • FEA Analysis: Experience with finite element analysis for stress, thermal, and dynamic analysis of mechanical components
  • Design Optimization: Ability to use simulation results to optimize mechanical designs for performance and manufacturability
  • Technical Documentation: Skills in creating detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports
  • Materials Knowledge: Understanding of material properties and selection for sustainable technology applications

Why It's Cool: European mechanical engineering represents the pinnacle of precision, innovation, and sustainability, and you're applying these world-class standards to solve critical environmental challenges while mastering the most advanced simulation and design tools in the industry. The mechanical systems you design will power the renewable energy revolution, making sustainable technology more efficient, reliable, and cost-effective worldwide. This is where traditional mechanical engineering excellence meets cutting-edge sustainability innovation, where you'll be developing technologies that could optimize wind farms, improve solar energy systems, and create more efficient, sustainable manufacturing processes. Your work will contribute to accelerating the global transition to sustainable technology while building expertise that makes you invaluable in the rapidly growing clean technology sector. The combination of European engineering precision, advanced simulation capabilities, and sustainable technology focus represents one of the most important and rapidly growing areas in mechanical engineering today.

Bali Option: Engineer breakthrough mechanical systems from paradise, where European precision meets tropical innovation to create sustainable technology solutions that could change the world. Design and simulate mechanical components with ocean views, validate your ANSYS models with your international engineering crew over beachside collaboration sessions, and find inspiration for your mechanical innovations in the natural efficiency and elegance you observe in traditional Balinese engineering and craftsmanship. Debug CAD models between surf sessions, celebrate simulation breakthroughs with sunset dinners alongside fellow engineers from around the world, and experience how the right environment can enhance both technical precision and creative problem-solving. Network with successful clean technology entrepreneurs, attend mechanical engineering workshops with tropical backdrops, and work on mechanical systems that could power the sustainable future while living in one of the world's most naturally sustainable environments.
