Growing Manufacturing Company in Dayton has a need for a Supply Chain/ Demand Planner

The Production Planner/Scheduler will be responsible for ensuring our company’s operations are timely, efficient, and cost-effective. You will assist in all production planning duties including creating production, capacity, and procurement schedules, analyzing finished goods and raw materials inventory flow, and developing capacity and labor models.  This person will manage and prioritize steps for manufacturing production planning and scheduling and the supporting materials, labor, and capacity plans. The successful candidate should be professional, highly analytical, and possess excellent communication skills as well as have an in-depth knowledge of advanced mathematical planning and scheduling techniques.

Specific Job Responsibilities & Duties:

•   Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules, integrating multiple schedule requests into one executable schedule for production teams

•   Participates in strategic and tactical S&OP meetings and adjusts schedules as needed

•   Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed

•   Analyzes available capacity and plans schedules accordingly

•   Works with the team buyers to coordinate the procurement of raw materials and components and provides analysis.

•   Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for revisions to operating methods           

Qualifications:

•   Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or other relevant fields.

•   A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supply chain or production planning/forecasting role.
