Summary:

Growing Consumer Products Co in Greenwood, MS is looking for a SCM/Materials Manager. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Materials Manager to join our Supply Chain department. As a Materials Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, procurement, and inventory management of materials to support our manufacturing operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize materials planning and procurement processes
• Manage the inventory levels to ensure adequate supply while minimizing excess and obsolete materials
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and plan materials requirements
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain relationships
• Monitor supplier performance and take corrective actions when necessary
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
• Analyze data and generate reports to track key performance indicators
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance materials management processes
• Train and mentor team members to develop their skills and knowledge

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• Proven experience in materials management or a similar role
• Strong knowledge of supply chain principles and practices
• Proficient in using materials planning and inventory management software
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
