Growing Mfg Company near Lansing, Michigan has a need for a Plant Manager. This is a direct hire role with a full benefits package.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

· Grower Relations

To serve the growers by providing exceptional inbound delivery service, marketing information, and pricing information.

Ensure proper protocol and daily needed production with customers in receiving, processing, and shipping of Non-GMO varieties.

Work to ensure prompt and accurate responses to customer requests for information on bean specs, complaint issues, quality needs, and reporting procedures.

Implement and perform the customer’s specifications into product being processed and shipped.

· Plant Performance and Planning

Manage the facility for profitability including the control of expenses, workforce, shifts and processing goals, timely shipments, day to day plant activities, planning strategic short- and long-term facility improvements, development and management of plant employees, and participation in budgeting, long and short-range planning for facility improvements.

Retain, recruit, position, and develop location staff members working with area Elevator VP and Human Resources Department.

Exhibit leadership to achieve department safety, environmental, quality, and production goals.

Responsibility of addressing any issues involving sanitation, food safety, and quality issues

Responsibility to implement and participate in the safety program

Responsible for Site Security

Ensuring and verification of locked entrances

Reporting of unlocked entrances and suspicious activity

Responsibility to implement and participate in Food Safety requirements

Develop and manage a Food Safety Team Leader for your location, while overseeing the formation and implementation of an FDA complain Food Safety Plan.

Performa other duties as required.

· Three or more years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, food safety planning, export documents, and procedure manuals.

· Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

· Ability to speak effectively before groups of growers, customers, or employees.
