Growing Manufacturing Firm in the Pompano Beach, Florida has a need for a Sr Mechanical Engineer. This is a direct hire opening with a full benefits package.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION: o 4 Year Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing automation o Engineering, or other Engineering Science related field

EXPERIENCE:  Minimum of 3-5 years related experience in a manufacturing environment. o Minimum of 3-5 years of project management software o Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, electrical, mechanical, electronics, manufacturing automation systems integration, process controls, and drafting CORE SKILLS and ABILITIES: o A working knowledge in manufacturing o The ability to troubleshoot and determine the root cause to correct an issue o Computer knowledge in the areas of product design, MS Excel, Monday.com, and SolidWorks CAD, PowerPoint or Google Classroom, or comparable electronic skills o Strong time management skills and ability to work together in a team environment o Ability to develop SMART Goals to include planning and prioritizing of key action steps and high payoff activities daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly o Highly motivated and disciplined o Organize and execute testing protocols on existing and new equipment o Effective and inquisitive problem solving, applying scientific method where needed o Strong analytical, data summary, and critical thinking skills o Superior interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) o Excellent project/time management skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment to achieve project deadlines  Assist in the product submittal process to all certification bodies o Develop prototype and special components as needed for internal or field testing in both metal and plastic o The ability to produce 2D dimensional drawings as needed o Provide engineering support to Manufacturing, Sales, and Marketing o Using SolidWorks, provide 3-D models of current and new products, components, equipment, test fixtures and tooling o Design and build custom equipment when needed o Assist customers with trouble shooting support when necessary o Flexibility to complete R&D and manufacturing projects as necessary o Work with the Operations team to improve as well as conduct quality checks on parts received from suppliers o Work with the Senior Director of R&D/Engineering, Senior Director of Operations and Chief Operating Officer on other R&D and manufacturing projects as necessary
