• Design life safety and asset protection systems using AutoCAD and proprietary software applications
• Direct contractors in the proper installation and operation of systems
• Survey job sites to ensure proper system design and installation
• Read, review, and implement customer-supplied project specifications
• Attend manufacturer training classes and continued education training
• Create project-specific operation and maintenance manuals
• Update existing drawings
• Assist office staff with engineering-related tasks such as process improvement
• Assist with system inspection and maintenance (if needed)
• Assist in system startups and commissioning (if needed)

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in the Fire Protection Industry
• Previous experience as a Design Engineer preferred
