- Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, natural sciences, chemical, civil or environmental engineering
- Ph.D. or MSc. or equivalent in a related subject is an added advantage
- At least 5-8 years’ experience in relevant field
- Good knowledge of Gas Chromatography, Gas Chromatography Mass-Spec and AAS machine operation is a MUST
Job Description:
- Conduct chemical or physical laboratory tests to assist scientists in making qualitative or quantitative analyses of solids, liquids, or gaseous materials
- Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with standards and specifications
- Prepare chemical solutions for products or processes, following standardized formulas
- Develop or conduct programs of sampling and analysis to maintain quality standards of raw materials, chemical intermediates, or products
- Set up and conduct chemical analyses, using techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy, physical or chemical separation techniques, or microscopy
- Takes responsibility for all data reported.
- Overall analytical operations including QA/QC requirements
- Checking correctness of Analyses (Corrective actions)
- Care and maintenance of Laboratory equipment
- Care and safe storage of all lab equipment, samples bottles and Lab wares
- Preparation and standardization of reagents and chemicals
- Carrying out routine tasks accurately and following strict methodologies to carry out analyses.
- Storage of all laboratory reagents, media and samples under proper conditions
- Laboratory safety and general Housekeeping
- Field sampling, preservation and Transportation.
- Scientifically analyze data to determine validity, quality, trends where possible and scientific significance and to interpret correlations between human activities and environmental effects
- Perform tests and analysis including those for quality control
- Determine data collection methods to be employed in research projects or surveys
- Knowledge Management and Client Support
- Support business development through contributing to the production and preparation of Expressions of Interest, Tenders, and Proposals etc.
- Any other legitimate work-related order as given by the Company’s Executive Management.
- Research and Development
- Researches should be submitted to demonstrate the effect of developmental activities on the environment
- Researches should be fully completed to indicate other sources of pollution other than the common ones
