Job Position: Estimator

Job Location: Arvada, CO

Range of Pay: $60,000-$100,000 depending on experience and drywall and framing knowledge

Job Description: Responsible for estimating work of projects by gathering proposals, specifications, plans and related documents, as well as develop unit quantity take-offs for projects. You will be expected to collaborate with clients and preconstruction team members in pursuit of future work and planning of ongoing projects.

The essential functions and responsibilities are as follows, but are not limited to:

·         Review estimates and revisions for completeness and accuracy.

·         Develop and build client relations.

·         Prepare a thorough handoff to operations.

·         Understand and prepare a man loaded schedule.

·         Spot checking estimates with a SF analysis.

·         Create and maintain relationships with Contractors, Owners and Suppliers.

·         Attend on-site pre-bid/proposal meetings and site visits to accurately estimate the project.

·         Manage the bid process, bid pricing, prepare cost analyses for all estimates.

·         Manages workload and completing all tasks on time.

·         Follow up questions with all bids from General Contractor.

·         Have progressive knowledge in OST/Quick Bid and Bluebeam.

·         Present proposals to customer.

·         Understand ICI’s scope and services in order to pitch a bid package to prospective and current clients.

·         Make follow-up calls on submitted bids.

·         Review and make notes for all specification and plan requirements.

·         Ensure all work items are included in takeoff prepared by Estimator I (as needed)

·         Accurately prepare Quick Bid for review.

·         Accurately draft proposal for review.

·         Managing the bid until handed off to operations.

·         Required to review and comment on contracts proficiently.

·         Prepare Man Loaded Schedule.

·         Looking for advances in the industry to make yourself and the company better.

·         Perform any other related or unrelated, unassigned, unspecified duty that may be needed from time to time.

Requirements:

·         Estimator I requirements.

·         2 year estimating experience, preferred in commercial framing and drywall.

·         Computer skills in Bluebeam, OST/Quick Bid, and other related programs.

·         Ability to read, understand and organize construction plans and specifications.

·         Strong communications skills.

·         Strong attention to detail.

·         Ability to work independently and with minimal structure while utilizing great judgment.

·         Strong ability to multitask, prioritize and work well under pressure to meet deadlines.

Working Conditions:

·         This person will work in a temperature-controlled environment. Travel may be required from time to time.
