Hiltzik Strategies is a strategic communications and consulting firm specializing in message and narrative development, corporate communications, crisis management and litigation support, media relations, digital and social media strategy, research and analysis, and content creation. We serve as a trusted advisor and partner to leading business executives, entrepreneurs, and leaders across media, entertainment, technology, sports, finance, education, public affairs, philanthropy, and other industries.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with experience in the areas of SEO, digital media, project management, analytics, and research in our New York office (with the position to begin remotely) who will enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative, creative environment, and who can contribute to our corporate and individual clients as well as to our growing company overall.

Responsibilities:

  • Amplify owned digital properties using technical and on-page SEO
  • Audit websites and other digital properties to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Develop effective schema markup
  • Ability to effectively manage internal and external projects, formulating accurate timeline and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Influence and utilize the components of Google Search results (i.e., rich snippets boxes, knowledge panels, etc.) to optimize an entity’s digital presence
  • Develop insights drawn from data and analytics
  • Conduct research on a variety of topics and package in a digestible manner

Qualifications: 

  • 1-2 years of professional experience at a digital/marketing agency or as part of an in-house team
  • Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and professionally, both verbally and in writing
  • Experience with SEO with the ability to make recommendations based on best practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to draw insights and tell a story using research and data
  • Self-starter and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines, and driving projects across the finish line
  • Exceptional attention to detail, follow up, and organization skills

Bonus

  • Experience with website development  
  • Possesses understanding of Wikipedia and Wikidata 
  • Ability to craft language and design for decks, proposals, and other client-facing documents
