Position Overview:
The Cannabis Sales Representative, (the “Representative”) at High Grass Farms, LLC will work with the Sales Director to win and manage wholesale cannabis dispensary accounts. The position is responsible for maintaining partnerships and managing relationships with dispensaries for the distribution of High Grass Farms, LLC cannabis products. The Representative must understand the sales process, have superb interpersonal skills, and a thorough knowledge of the New Jersey adult cannabis space. Imperative to this role's success is working as a collaborative team member and delivering results in a fast-paced environment where systems and processes are continuously evolving.
Major Areas of Responsibility include:
Obtain, develop, and manage new and established accounts with adult use cannabis dispensaries
Partnering with business leaders and marketing teams to fulfill sales goals
Work closely with High Grass Farms, LLC security and Logistics regarding compliance with NJ CRC regulations
Fulfill and deliver sales orders accurately and on time to cannabis dispensaries
Developing and representing our brand to dispensaries as well as end consumers
Regular meetings and communication with High Grass Farms, LLC management
Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities):
All applicants must be at least 21 years of age
Able to successfully pass NJ CRC and all necessary associated background checks
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics, or related field preferred
cannabis sales experience
Must possess a working knowledge of the New Jersey cannabis market and approved cannabis products
Commitment to excellent customer service
Knowledge of marketing strategies and CRM (customer relationship management)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with customers
Ability to work independently in a highly organized manner with limited direction
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience using computers for a variety of tasks
Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment
Travel %: 50
Valid Unrestricted NJ Driver’s License required
Location: This position will cover the northern region of NJ (Morris, Hudson, Sussex, Warren, Passaic, Bergen, Essex, Union, Hunterdon, Somerset, Middlesex, and Monmouth counties) subject to change
Pay: $50k -$60K base annual salary based on experience + quarterly commission bonuses + benefits. Total cash compensation target is $120K - $180K+
Additional Abilities Required:
Ability to operate in both office and remote settings
Occasional weekend hours required
Requires mobility between High Grass Farms, LLC locations and cannabis retail locations throughout the state
Routine use of a computer and other standard office equipment
Requires the ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds frequently. Bending, Reaching, and the performance of manual tasks may also be required
