We are searching for a talented Financial Accountant ideally with large corporate experience to come and join a global luxury beauty and cosmetics house with some of the world's biggest names under their umbrella. 

The Financial Accountant will report to the Senior Accountant and will be responsible for the maintenance of the General Ledger including processing of journals, account analysis and all associated transactions and reporting requirements for a global cosmetics and beauty brand, so ideally would have a passion in this area as the benefits are fab!

Responsibilities:

 General Ledger

  • Process month end including preparing and posting journals for payroll, prepayments, accruals etc.\
  • Managing Assistant Accountants for PCD IRE and PFK
  • Reconcile, analyse and clear all balance sheet accounts

Fixed Assets

  • Maintain fixed asset module inclusding creating assets, running depreciation and disposal
  • Monthly review of WIP account

IFRS 16/Lease accounting

  • Update internal lease tool with new leases and reconcile to ERP (SAP)

Treasury reporting

  • Analyse and prepare cash forecast for Group reporting
  • Confirm cash pooling balance in Diapason and post interest

VAT, Tax & PSA

  • Analyse, prepare and submit quarterly Vat Returns
  • Organise payment of VAT, Corporation Tax, PSA and TAS
  • Quarterly preparation of Corporation tax accrual

Intercompany

  • Reconcile intercompany balances monthly with parent company
  • Liaise with other brands in group to ensure month end accruals are accurate

Audit/Statutory accounts

  • Manage external audit including back up and evidence
  • Produce Statutory accounts

DTR/Stock

  • Weekly sales reconciliation for consignment stores
  • Monthly stock reconciliations for consignment stores

 

Experience:

  • Qualified/Part qualified ACCA Accountant
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Able to deal with ambiguity
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ideally has knowledge of SAP
  • Excellent team player
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Quick thinking, calm under pressure, helpful and willing to deal with queries
  • Must have a sense of urgency, be prompt and dynamic in a fast changing environment
  • Good time management skills
  • Detail conscious
